Dutchie POS 1.79: Additional UX improvements in Backoffice; cart and Register fixes

Enhancements

Backoffice - Inventory

• Navigate from a package detail page to the corresponding catalog item with one click by selecting View catalog item just below the SKU:

  

• We’re adding and clarifying tooltip descriptions for various fields and options in the Inventory section of the Backoffice.

• To avoid possible errors, quantity fields for inventory items where the unit of measure is quantity (”each”) will no longer accept decimals and will instead accept whole numbers only.

Backoffice - General

• Character counters for character-limited text fields. The following fields will show the total character limit and the remaining characters available as you type:

  • Notes on the inventory item detail

  • Reason note on the adjust package modal

  • Reason note on the destroy package modal

  • Online description for catalog items

  • Email body in the reports scheduler

• The primary Backoffice navigation tabs on the left sidebar will soon feature Help center resource links to the relevant sections of the Dutchie POS Help Center.

Fixes

Backoffice - Registers

This version eliminates a scenario where clicking Submit twice could result in duplicate cash drops or transfers being recorded.

Register - Cart & Discounts

• When redeeming a manual discount that requires loyalty points, the Register will only require the number of loyalty points specified in the discount configuration regardless of how many items the discount applies to.

• When applying loyalty points through the loyalty panel, the Register will account for loyalty points “spent” by discounts to prevent a negative point balance.

• When applying a manual price-to-amount discount to a cart with loyalty points applied, loyalty points are being removed from items incorrectly. This version includes a fix to address this issue.

• First-time-customer discounts will no longer apply to anonymous customers.

• Manual discounts will appear in the cart even if the customer does not have enough loyalty points to apply them. If a user attempts to apply a discount and the customer does not have enough loyalty points, an error message will prevent application of the discount.

• Improved logging for internal diagnostic purposes.

• On a line item where the quantity is more than 1, Remove item only removes 1 unit. This version restores the expected behavior, which is to remove all units and delete the entire line item from the cart.

Backoffice - Cultivation

We are addressing an issue that prevents the recording of nutrient applications in Dutchie POS for locations not integrated with Metrc and not using our updated nutrient application features. This fix is scheduled for release on December 7.
