Dutchie POS 1.140: Bills of materials and assemblies for manufacturers; automatic flower equivalency calculations; fixes
Here’s what’s coming to Dutchie POS for the week of May 5:
Projected release dates: 5/5/25-5/9/25, unless otherwise noted. Subject to change.
Enhancements
Manufacturing
Bills of materials and assemblies allow manufacturers, cultivators, and distributors to create templates for output products, define the required inputs, and understand the associated costs of goods and labor.
This new feature set is different from Recipes in a few key ways:
Create bills of materials and assemblies for specific products or for more general product categories. This makes them more versatile than Recipes, which require unique configurations for each flavor, dose, and variant in a product line.
Improved user experience with fewer steps than Recipes.
Tracking for indirect costs like labor rate and production hours.
Compatibility with Metrc Processing Jobs.

Products & Inventory
Operators in states that use flower equivalencies can now define standard flower equivalency calculations by purchase limit category and customer type, which are then used to automatically populate flower equivalencies for products and inventory while still giving you the flexibility to manually edit flower equivalencies for individual items. Learn more about automatic flower equivalency calculations in the Help Center.
To provide more visibility over inventory audit variances, we’re adding a column for Items Removed from Audit (Incomplete Audits) to Inventory Audit History report so you can track packages that have been removed from an audit.
Reports
Brand columns will be added to the Inventory Snapshot, Monthly Inventory by Product, and Discount Detail reports.
Traceability
BioTrack: We're enhancing the inventory detail view to display all relevant BioTrack data, except for lab samples, directly on the inventory item details page. This will provide more transparency into what data exists in the BioTrack inventory sync table, allowing users to better understand and resolve discrepancies.
Fixes
This release includes fixes for the following issues:
When an item that had multiple discounts applied to it is returned, each discount is reflected in the Discount Detail Report on separate lines a “Manual Discount”, each line item lists total of all discounts rather than the amount of each discount, and the “Net Sales” column for each row is the final price of the item after all discounts are applied.
Users can remove rows from completed inventory audits in the Backoffice, which should only be allowed for in-progress audits.
The View Blind Audit Expected Quantities user permission is not consistently enforced.
Colorado: Products categorized as Vaporizer/Cartridge contribute to patient allotments as if they were flower when they should instead be calculated as concentrates.
Florida BioTrack: When non-smoking products, such as tinctures and edibles, are added to the cart, the displayed allotment is based on lab results in Dutchie, rather than the usable weight value from BioTrack that is reported to MMUR. This fix ensures allotments displayed in the Register are based on the BioTrack useable weight and match what is reported to MMUR.
