Projected release dates: 11/11/24 to 11/15/24, unless otherwise noted. We plan to pause non-essential Dutchie POS product releases from 11/18/24 to 12/1/24. Subject to change.

Register hardware setup enhancements

We’re rolling out a redesigned hardware settings experience in the Register, plus adding support for direct USB connection of receipt and label printers with WebUSB-compatible browsers, including Chrome and Edge. Learn all about these updates in the Help Center.

Redesigned hardware settings

A more informative and intuitive hardware settings interface in the Register streamlines and simplifies hardware connection and configuration.

Barcode scanner setup will also include on-screen configuration guidance and test barcodes for supported Zebra scanners.

Direct USB connection

Registers running on Chrome or Edge will support direct USB connection for label and receipt printers without requiring PrintNode. Network connections via PrintNode will still be supported, and you’ll be able to use a combination of connection methods, such as direct USB for a receipt printer at the POS and network connection from multiple registers to a fulfillment printer.

This update will also allow you to connect and configure a supported A&D scale without third-party software and add support for connecting a scale to a Mac.

Inventory performance reporting

New inventory performance reporting features are now available and bring a unified approach to inventory reporting that allows you to customize date ranges, display data for multiple locations, and see a holistic view of how your inventory is performing, making the analysis more intuitive and tailored to your business needs. Learn more about inventory performance reporting in the Help Center.

Fixes

  • This release implements changes to the Discount Detail Report for customers who use out-the-door pricing. The calculation for the Discount Percent column will show the discount applied to the out-the-door price, and a new Unit Price column will reflect the out-the-door price.

  • Florida: We’re releasing a fix for an issue where returned products appear on the BioTrack integration audit with a different external ID, resulting in an apparent discrepancy.
