Reporting permissions update

A new View Multi-Locations Sales Reports permission now controls access to the Financials tab in the Backoffice. This permission has been enabled for all users with the View Closing Report permission, which previously controlled access to the Financials tab.

Fixes

The following fixes for the Closing report will be released the week of October 7:

  • Line item reporting will be updated to correctly account for returns where no cash is returned to the customer.

  • Line item reporting tax collected values will round to two decimal points and will no longer appear as fractions of cents.

  • For locations with tax-inclusive (“out-the-door”) pricing, tax will no longer be reflected in an item’s gross price so product category sums match the overall totals in the closing report.

  • Net sales calculations will be updated to correctly account for the Apply Loyalty as a Discount location setting for LSPs who have enabled this setting at some locations but not at others.

  • Net sales calculations will be updated to eliminate discrepancies between the closing report and other reports.

  • The Items returned without cash category will be removed from the closing report. The closing report will instead attribute the cash retained from the original sale to the original product category so the category summary on the closing report matches the expected sales at the tax category level.

  • A separate fix will also address a calculation error that results in incorrect Ending Inventory totals in the Arizona Sales Report / Inventory Schedule. This fix was previously announced on Sept. 4 but has not yet been released because it depends on closing report fixes listed above.

These discount fixes will be released October 8:

  • Percent discounts are not re-calculated after other discounts are removed from an item, leading to under-discounting.

  • When price-to-amount discounts are added to an item or cart, other discounts are not properly re-calculated.
