Dutchie E-Commerce: Improved product visibility for split-menu dispensaries, on-demand menu sync, ‘items on sale’ collections, fixes, and more
Enhancements
Improved product visibility for split-menu dispensaries
Dispensaries operating split menus (separate Medical and Recreational menus) can now automatically control product visibility based on customer type. Previously, retailers had to manually hide products that weren't applicable to a given menu; for example, keeping a Med-only product off the Rec menu. That workaround is no longer necessary.
With this update, products are automatically hidden from menus where they don't apply, based on the purchase category (Medical or Recreational) configured in Back Office. This ensures your online menus stay accurate without requiring manual intervention each time inventory changes.
On-demand menu sync
Enterprise admins can now manually trigger a POS menu sync from the dispensary menu page, making it easier to refresh menu data without contacting Support. Go to Admin > [Dispensary] > Menu and use the Force Sync button near the integration status at the top of the page. A confirmation prompt and short cooldown help prevent accidental or overlapping syncs.
Specials
Retailers now have an added admin control for enabling the redesigned Specials page by dispensary. When enabled, related Specials page display options are grouped together and preserved, giving teams more control over when and where the redesigned experience appears. Find it in Promote > Specials Page > Show Specials Redesign.
Special detail pages have been simplified by removing the large hero image and combining the special name into the page heading. Shoppers can get to eligible sale or offer items faster with a cleaner, more focused page layout.
Collections
Collections Builder now supports an “Items on Sale” collection option, allowing retailers to create collections that automatically include products currently included in active specials. This reduces manual curation and helps sale-focused collections stay up to date as specials change.
Enterprise
The Enterprise loyalty signup landing page now automatically reflects your brand colors. Visual elements on the signup page, including legal links, will adapt to match the custom colors configured in your Enterprise admin dashboard, providing a more cohesive brand experience for consumers signing up for your loyalty program.
Fixes
We're deploying fixes for the following issues:
The mobile sponsored products query now applies the menuType filter so medical-only sponsored products no longer appear on recreational menus.
Collection badges now render correctly on mobile so customers can see the expected collection information.
The Specials page no longer shows the carousel while a filter or sort option is active, keeping filtered results focused and relevant.
Category tiles now display category images in the correct circular format instead of appearing as incorrect oval images.
Time-dependent tests for CurrentDispensaryTitle and indicatorColor are now more reliable, reducing test flakiness.
Admin sign-in now handles transfer token errors more gracefully when stale or replayed URLs and network retries occur, preventing misleading generic error messages.
Kiosk Pro portrait layouts now keep the END SESSION button visible and separate from the CART button in the bottom action bar.
Hidden and test locations are no longer discoverable through custom-domain search results or available for ordering when they are not intended to be live.
Printed menus now show the expected red special-offer badge for discounted products when active specials are configured.
Enterprise user management now prevents multi-location selections from unintentionally requesting all-location access, so admins with access to only part of a chain can save changes without encountering a generic error.
Enterprise text banner asset links now take users to the correct location-specific text banner page instead of sending them to the homepage customization page.
The product menu now preserves the selected category and filter state when shoppers browse back from a product details page, reducing extra taps and making it easier to continue shopping from the same place.
Image banner updates are now more reliable when editing existing banners in Dutchie Admin. Retailers can extend banner end dates with fewer failed saves or repeated attempts, helping keep promotional content scheduled correctly.
We added additional safeguards to image banner management to prevent duplicate banners from being saved. Existing duplicate banner records can also be cleaned up more safely, helping admins maintain accurate storefront banner lists.
For Onfleet-managed deliveries, completed orders now stop showing live driver tracking after the delivery is closed. The app clears the driver location and ETA when the order reaches a final status, so shoppers no longer see stale in-transit tracking information.
Menus now better respect disabled loyalty widget settings. When the loyalty signup or rewards widget is turned off, shoppers should no longer see it briefly flash on the menu during page load.
