Dutchie POS: Global category mapping update; pause a discount; print online title on pick tickets; configure profile completeness fields; fixes
Projected release dates: 7/27/26-7/30/26. Subject to change.
Enhancements
Global category management
We're enabling global category and subcategory mapping in Dutchie POS for a select group of customers. This means your product categories will now be set and managed in Dutchie POS and automatically synced to your Dutchie E-Commerce menu.
What this means for you:
You can now set, update, and manage your global categories and subcategories in bulk directly from your Backoffice product catalog.
Categories you configure in the Backoffice will be the source of truth for your E-Commerce menu going forward.
You no longer need to manage category mappings separately in E-Commerce Admin.
Who does not have this feature:
Customers who've been identified as ineligible will receive a message in the Inventory page of the Backoffice next week instructing them on how to prepare their settings in order to gain access to this feature.
Customers who do not currently use a Dutchie E-Commerce menu.
Discounts
Pause a discount in the Backoffice discount list without archiving it changing its start or end dates. Click the ellpsis (…) next to a discount and select either Pause online or Pause completely.
In the Register:
Paused Manual discounts do not appear in the list of available discounts until they are unpaused.
Pause Automatic discounts are not applied to eligible carts until they are unpaused.
Paused Code discounts will cause an error if an attempt is made to apply to a cart until they are unpaused.
Pausing a discount already applied to a cart will not remove it from the cart.
In Dutchie E-Commerce:
With Discount Sync, the pause status of a discount will be evaluated on the next sync attempt. Paused completely and Paused online discounts will be dropped from the sync and won’t re-appear until the next sync after they are unpaused.
Paused discounts will be filtered from the list of specials menu cards.
Settings
Print a product’s Online title on fulfillment pick tickets rather than the product name from your Catalog. This allows inventory managers to maintain separate naming conventions for online vs. catalog purposes, while helping floor staff more easily recognize which products to fulfill.
A product’s Online title is found in the Online details section of the product detail page.
To enable this option, go to Settings > Receipts & Tickets > Pick Tickets and set Use online title to Yes.
Disable floor-depleted inventory alerts if your location doesn’t use use backstock/floor separation or replenishment workflows that make this feature relevant. To disable, go to Settings > Location and turn off View Floor Depleted Inventory.
Compliance
Washington: We’re adding a new DoH Approved tab to the CCRS validation tool in the Backoffice, giving Washington retailers a streamlined way to audit products’ Department of Health approval status and update products in bulk. This helps ensure medical patients receive the correct excise tax exemptions and reduces the risk of CCRS file rejections or blocked sales at the Register. Learn more in the Help Center.
Florida: In conjunction with upcoming Biotrack updates, we’re making the following changes to External category selection in the Backoffice:
The existing Rosin/Resin/Hash inventory type will be renamed Resin.
A new inventory type, Rosin/Hash, will be added.
A new inventory type, Water-Based Product, will be added.
Delivery
Locations that use third-party delivery services can now designate drivers and vehicles as Operated by a 3rd party and enter the driver's 3rd party license number on driver and vehicle profiles in the Backoffice. When a delivery is marked as operated by a third party, the system will automatically send the third-party license number to Metrc on the delivery manifest instead of the dispensary's own license, ensuring accurate compliance reporting without manual workarounds. If no third-party license is provided, the system falls back to the dispensary's configured license so existing workflows are unaffected.
This feature was previously limited to certain markets and traceability integrations but will now be available for all locations.
Customers
As an enhancement to the new customer profile completeness tracker, we’re giving admins the ability to specify which fields are required for a profile to be considered complete in a new Profile Completeness section in Customers > Configure > Fields. Choose which of the following fields count toward a complete customer profile:
Date of Birth
Phone Number
Email Address
Loyalty Enrollment
Drivers License Number
Drivers License Expiration
MMJ ID
MMJ ID Expiration Date
Loyalty & Marketing
See exactly which customers received loyalty point boosts from your workflow campaigns. A new Points Boosts filter option will be available on the campaign Recipients page, giving you full visibility into automated point awards.
We’re adding an Export option to the Segment Audience tab so you can download a list of all customers currently in a given segment.
We’re adding proactive warnings to help you avoid disruptions to your SMS campaigns. You'll now see alerts on the home page, Campaigns list, and campaign builder when your 10DLC registration is approaching expiration or has gone inactive. We've also added an Expiration Date column to the SMS Integrations page for quick visibility. These changes help you take action before your registration lapses, keeping campaigns delivering successfully and avoiding charges for undelivered messages.
Your customers will now always receive SMS messages from the same phone number, rather than a different number each time. This makes your text conversations easier to follow and helps customers recognize your messages — improving engagement and reducing unsubscribes.
Reports
We’re adding Guestlist Status and Pickup/Delivery Time Window columns to the New Pre Orders report.
Customers
See a full history of edits made to a customer's profile including who made the change, when, and from which location, right alongside the existing Transaction History and Product History views.
Where to find it:
Backoffice: Customer profile > History > Profile history
Register: Customer history panel > Profile history tab
What's tracked:
Profile history captures changes to:
Name (first, middle, last)
Contact info (mobile phone, phone, email address)
Address (address lines 1–3, city, state, postal code)
Identification (MMJ ID, driver's license, driver's license expiration)
Date of birth
Customer type, referral source, and status
Marketing and SMS opt-in preferences
Additional state identifiers and inventory %
Fixes
We’re releasing fixes for the following issues:
SMS brands may remain stuck in an expired state after a successful 10DLC re-authorization, preventing teams from selecting the brand for new campaign sends.
Receive History printouts leave expiration dates blank even though the dates appeared in the Backoffice table, making printed audit records incomplete for inventory teams.
Mix & Match discounts configured as “at least 2 items” are being applied in pairs instead of discounting all qualifying items once the threshold and spend requirements are met.
Register closeouts and cash drops are saving only the total cash counted, not the bill and coin breakdown entered by the cashier, leaving cash-count audit details missing.
The "Opted into loyalty" field on the Backoffice customer profile is only visible to locations with a paid Loyalty & Marketing subscription. This means locations using the legacy loyalty program with opt-in enrollment enabled can’t see or update a customer's loyalty opt-in status. This will be fixed so the toggle appears for any location that has opt-in enrollment enabled, regardless of subscription tier.
